The Challenge

The Dutch IT consultancy market is saturated with firms that treat developers as interchangeable resources. Clients get CVs but not commitment. The goal was to build a consultancy where every consultant is a senior engineer who takes ownership, ships quality, and actually cares about the project outcome rather than just filling a seat.

My Contribution

Co-founded and run the company: client acquisition, technical scoping, contract negotiation, and hands-on delivery. Every engagement starts with a deep-dive into the client's architecture and pain points before we propose a team setup.

Built the company brand and online presence from scratch. Established delivery practices adapted for small, senior teams: lightweight sprint rituals, direct client communication, and a focus on leaving the codebase better than we found it.

Key Results

• Profitable from the first year with repeat clients across e-commerce, travel, and logistics
• Consultant retention at 100%: no one leaves because the work is meaningful
• Every engagement extended or followed by a new project from the same client
• Built a reputation for senior engineers who ship, not just advise
